Loren and Paula’s story began when they were just eight years old, growing up across the street from one another in North Raleigh. What started as childhood friendship grew into a lifelong partnership, built on shared values, curiosity, and a passion for helping others. With extensive professional backgrounds in both retail and education, they bring decades of customer-focused experience and community engagement to their work.
Along their personal wellness journeys, Loren and Paula discovered the powerful therapeutic benefits of CBD and hemp. These natural remedies played a meaningful role in improving their health and overall well-being, inspiring them to learn everything they could about hemp-derived wellness, CBD products, and the science behind them. Motivated to share this knowledge with others, they became enthusiastic advocates for accessible, high-quality CBD and hemp solutions.
Their shared passion and commitment to community education ultimately led them to open Franny’s Farmacy in Cary, NC, in February 2025. This welcoming, community-centered hemp dispensary allows them to combine their retail expertise with their dedication to wellness. At Franny’s Farmacy Cary, they focus on empowering customers through education and offering a trusted selection of hemp-derived CBD products, including tinctures, edibles, topicals, flower, and more.
Their mission is simple: to highlight the many benefits of CBD for natural health and wellness and to create a space where their community feels supported, informed, and cared for—one conversation at a time.
Loren Kent
Loren brings a lifelong commitment to customer service, community connection, and meaningful, people-centered work. With a BA in Journalism and Communication from UNCG and a teaching certification from NC State, she has spent much of her career in roles that thrive on strong communication and personal interaction. Loren began working in retail at sixteen, developing the service-first mindset that continues to shape her professional life today.
Her early experience includes roles on the Sales and Sponsorship team at Walnut Creek Amphitheater and as a publicity liaison for CMC International Records, where she strengthened her ability to connect with customers, partners, and the community. Her natural curiosity and love of learning eventually led her into education, where she became known for creating supportive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Loren retired in June 2023 from full-time service in the classroom.
Loren and best friend Paula, inspired by Loren’s parents’ search for safe, reliable hemp wellness products, opened a Franny’s Farmacy location in Cary. Today, Loren is proud to help customers explore hemp wellness with compassion, clarity, and genuine care, ensuring everyone who walks through the door feels supported on their path to feeling better naturally.
Paula Mancini
Paula is a North Carolina native with deep Raleigh roots. Like Loren, she shares a lifelong love of learning and a genuine passion for connecting with others. Before co-owning Franny’s Farmacy Raleigh, Paula spent over ten years as a Special Education Assistant at The Exploris School. She is a proud single mom of two daughters, and time spent with them is her happy place. Paula brings the same warmth and care she pours into her family and friendships to everyone who walks through the doors of the dispensary.
Her background in education shapes the way she serves customers. Paula loves learning each person’s story and understanding what brought them into the dispensary so she can guide them to the hemp products that best meet their needs.
